Details I am a student at the College of Santa Fe, and am looking for some people to help me on a short student film. "Crazy Town" is a story about a young woman who is locked in the bathroom by her psycho boyfriend. Then with the coaxing of his mother, they decide to kill her. This is a non-union film. I will not be able to pay but food will be provided. I will be shooting: May 2-4; 12pm-6pm (hopefully not much later). Crew needed: -Digital Cinematographer -Sound Operator/Boom -Script Supervisor -Key Gaffer/Grip -Key Makeup/Hair This is be shot in HDV using a digital camera. Production Title Accolade Competition
Details Now in its sixth year, top-tier, international awards competition, The Accolade, announces its Call For Entries for filmmakers, television producers and videographers. The Accolade is a non-traditional, virtual venue. Awards go to those filmmakers, television producers and videographers who produce fresh, standout entertainment, animation and compelling documentaries. The Accolade is a showcase for cinematic gems and unique voices. It receives entries from all over the world: Australia, Brazil, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States. Details Open call for non-union short on Saturday, the 12th, callbacks will be Sunday, the 13th. Breakdown is as follows: Guadalupe Sanchez (45) - Lead, Mexican-American immigrant. Works all night, sleeps all day. A weathered woman. Must convey a quiet strength. Fluent in Spanish, at least conversational in English. Myra Sanchez (19) -Lead, Guadalupe’s daughter. An angry girl, must be able to make an audience care about her anyway. Fluent in English, must be able to believably deliver a Mexican accent with Spanish dialogue. Lighter hair or willing to highlight. Juanita (52) - Supporting, Guadalupe’s oldest sister, visiting from Mexico. Big personality. Must be fluent in Spanish. Marisol (48) - Supporting, Guadalupe’s older sister, also visiting from Mexico. Big personality, a little softer than Juanita. Must be fluent in Spanish. Rikki Callaghan (19) - Supporting, female. Myra’s best friend in Albuquerque. A crazy white-girl who thinks she can speak Spanish. Brings a lot of heart to the film. White. Fair-skinned and red-haired a plus. Doyle Hunter (21) - Supporting, male. Myra’s best friend in L.A. Trendy. Gay. White. Waiter (19) - Featured, frat boy. Flirts with Rikki. Mexican Family - Father, mother, young son, and baby. Father and mother must be able to speak Spanish. Son must speak Spanish and English. Shoots one scene (one day of work). White Family - Mother, young daughter, and a couple of other kids, non-gender specific. Blonde preferred. Shoots one scene (one day of work). Extras: Two teenaged white boys, willing to cuss. Mexicans of all shapes and sizes to fill in at bus depot and restaurant scenes. Early 20’s white girl to play waitress. No serving required. Please report to the fine arts lobby at UNM and follow the signs to the audition. Bring two copies of headshot/resume (if you have them) and be well-prepared to read for your roll as shooting may start as quickly as one week later. The shoot will be weekends only (3-4) between April 19th and the end of May though, ironically, we will not shoot on Mother’s Day weekend. To allow us to expedite the audition progress, we ask for people to stick to the following time slots for the open call.
